We get that!
After 20 years in marketing, we know that many business owners, start ups, innovators and inventors have very little knowledge about IP protection. And yes! we also know how ‘heavy’, ‘confusing’ and ‘complex’ IP law is !
Our aim is to:

With 30 years in marketing...
…we realised that many business owners and inventors had very little knowledge about protecting their business names or product names.
This is what can happen…
A good friend showed up at our office one day and was obviously distressed. She had received legal letters giving her 24 hours to cease trading. Inadvertently, she had infringed on a registered trademark. She had no idea what to do.
Fortunately, we could step in to help.
It was obvious that she was indeed infringing on another businesses legal trademark. We determined that there was no point fighting it as the legal costs in doing so would be better spent on re-branding her small business.
So she did. We worked with her to choose a new business name, new logo, branding and signage for a lot less than it would have cost to fight that law suit. Her new name and brand was immediately trademarked to ensure that she had clear title.
Fortunately, being a one-person business with a handful of loyal clients meant it was easy for her to let her clients know her ‘new’ name and brand.
Had she been a larger operation, she could have lost a lot of business or spent around $75K fighting the case and probably still lost.
We soon realised that there was a need for someone 'in-between' to help inventors and business owners with their IP. So that's what we do and have been for 8 years.
